Maybe writing a book is one of your “someday” goals that you would want to experience this lifetime. Maybe learning about it is one of those fun classes like basket weaving that you are curious about. Or maybe you’ve started your manuscript years ago and are looking to make a breakthrough.
If you can relate, then just maybe this fun opportunity is for you! I’ll be both creating and taking a book-writing class for book lovers of all ages and stages who are ready to move forward with their book dreams. It’s just for six weeks this summer and totally online so that it will fit your schedule. It’s one of the summer academy classes that my 9-year-old son, Grant (who dreams of being an author) and I, will take together. I can’t wait!

We’ve all heard the phrase that it’s not what happens to us, but how we respond to what happens to us that really matters! Sure, we know this to be true in our mind. Yes, we believe it in our heart. Yet, do we really live it out in our lives?
Two recent examples with my favorite sports – track and basketball – have inspired me about how we might be down, but not out. It doesn’t matter always how we start, it’s that we choose to finish strong!
Getting up and going full gear
I received an email about the story of a runner who fell during a championship race and raced her way back to the front. Check out the video, it’s incredible.
Going against 1,000 to 1 odds
Gavin is finishing up his basketball season and we found a movie on Netflix to watch together about Cory Weissman. It’s about how the boy’s love for the game and determination to push through no matter what is what truly made him a star. So how does a basketball star in high school go from scoring 1,000 points to only 1 point in college? The answer – a stroke. Here’s a real-life update on Cory and I encourage you to watch the movie too.
Got IT? It doesn’t matter how you start, what matters is that you choose to finish strong!
