Inspiration for It

Janae Bower AuthorIt took Janae Bower – a local Twin Cities, first-time author – seven years to finally publish her first book. As a little girl, Janae dreamed about growing up and writing a book that would inspire hope in others. IT has! The Little Girl Who Found IT resonates with girls of all ages and stages. In fact, a few women were so inspired by the book that they partnered with Janae to create matching keepsake products to go along with it. Products include a handmade doll, beaded pins, musical CD and decorative bags.

Janae & John Sr.This book was a labor of love between her and her father-in-law, John Sr., (pictured right), who illustrated the book. It was his first time illustrating a book so they enjoyed partnering on it. After the birth of Janae’s son, Gavin (pictured below), they were both inspired to create together The Little Boy Who Found IT. Written for boys from five to ninety-five, this keepsake book resonates with people of all ages as they follow their own journey of personal growth and discovery. He unexpectedly died before he could do so. It breaks Janae’s heart that he is gone and she is passionate about honoring his legacy through these books.

Gavin and Boy BookThe boy book is illustrated by Lynette Daniel, an art teacher for 15 years at Dayton Elementary School and artist of one of the famous peanut statues. She had never illustrated a book before and collaborated with Janae for nine months to complete it.  A matching keepsake product of a handmade boy doll is also available to complement the book.
